Summary of Discoveries Indeed, it is understandable how numerous folks confuse Astrology and Astronomy as identical subjects due to the similar characteristics between the two. For instance, how both names sound practically the same one another, alongside the fact that Astrology and Astronomy were both considered the same in ancient times, as one who studied Astrology also researched Astronomy. However, since Astronomy has branched away from its' Astrological roots, the fact is that the two are now diverse fields of knowledge. Moreover, Astrology is not categorized as an area of science it is an ancient art (also referred to as, pseudoscience), instead. Additionally, a scholar cannot obtain an accredited college degree in Astrology, yet, one does have the option of achieving an accredited degree in the field of Astronomy, one reason being that Astronomy deals with physics, as well as calculus. Therefore, to earn a degree in Astronomy, it is also necessary to major in Physics. …show more content…
Lastly, yet another differentiating trait between both topics is that astrologers focus solely on the twelve constellations (in other words, The Zodiac), as opposed to astronomers, of whom study in totality, all eighty-eight constellations in the Solar System, including all of the celestial bodies within the Solar
