Athena Greek Goddess

Athena was a Greek Goddess of Warfare, Wisdom, art, and craft. She was also the Patron Goddess of Athens. Her parents are Zeus and Metis, Zeus is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion, who rules as king of the gods of Mount Olympus. Metis is the Goddess of Wisdom like her daughter. Thanks for Zeus and Metis Athena was born a goddess. Athena represented strategic war planning rather than the raw violence of war. Athena carries a shield, aegis and a spear, Athena is also a chase goddess and she has no lover. She’s one of the three goddesses that doesn’t have a loverAthena was born from her father’s head by springing out of his head fully armed as an adult. Athena family is quite known because as we know all her family are gods. Her
uncle is Poseidon and Hades. Her grandparents are Kronus and Rhea.
As we know her parents are Zeus and Metis. Athena has three aunts, one is named Demeter, the other is Hestia, and the last one is Hera but, she is also her stepmother. Her cousin is Aphrodite. Athena has three half-brothers and one half-sister, her three half-brothers are Hermes, Hephaestus, and Apollo. Her half-sister is Artemis.Athena was involved in many myths. Athena first myth was when a women Arachne challenged her in a weaving competition. This is one of the best known myth of Athena, Arachne was known as one of the best at weaving but, Arachne thought she was one and only person that was the best because she learned by herself and no one could weave as much as she can. After Athena heard the thing Arachne said about her being the best, Athena got disappointed. So Athena dressed up as an old lady and walked up to Arachne and said “My dear”, “I am old and have much life experience, so let me give you one advice: don’t ever mess up with a
goddess!
No mortal can compete against Athena.
Take back your words and kindly ask forgiveness.” Of course, Arachne got mad so they were now starting a competition between Athena and Arachne. After they were competing, they both had beautiful work but Arachne made something that is showing disregard of the gods so, Athena then turned Arachne into a spider.The second myth that Athena was involved with was the day she was birth. Athena didn’t have a mother to give birth to her because of her father Zeus. Zeus swallowed Metis because he was told that Metis is going to give birth to a child that is going to overpower him. One day, Zeus was having a huge headache so, and man named Hephaestus had to take an axe and spilt open Zeus head to see what was going one. Once he split open his head, Athena sprang out of his head fully grown and was with full armor. Due to the way, she was born a goddess of Wisdom and intelligence Altogether, the best thing about Athena that I learned was the myth that she was in because it’s really fun to hear. It’s just amazing how her life was as a goddess in my opinion, how she never fell in love. Never had a kid, and only adopted one but, she was known as one of the three goddesses that was a chase
god.
