Have you ever thought that athletes are overpaid? Athletes are showing children that they could easily make millions by playing a few games. A majority of people don’t even watch sports but athletes are still paid all of that money. Some athletes are selfish and still, think that all of that money isn’t enough. Athletes are paid too much money and people aren’t doing anything about it.
Athletes are showing and teaching kids wrong value. Athletes make millions of dollars a year by just playing a sport. Many children are thinking that they don’t need as much of an education to be an athlete, so they don’t worry as much as they should about their own education. We need kids to explore and enter different jobs areas. We need people like doctors, nurses, teachers, firefighters, police officers, and even coders. Many people watch and admire sports but there is a large chunk of people that do not watch sports. People like teachers affect almost everyone but still get paid only around $45,000-$50,000. Athletes go by seasons according to what the sport says, and they still make millions even when they’re not playing. They do put a lot of time in for training, but it still seems like it’s not as long as other people work. Athletes also retire at a younger age which means they only have so many years of work.
