Atlanta City Comparison
In chapter 5 of out textbook we looked at 3 large, well known city's, and went into depth with them. We learned more about their homes, jobs, marketing, transportation, population, environmental areas, and many other thing about them.
This essay is comparing and contrasting, and I took the two most opposite city's out of the three Portland and Atlanta and compared them. It really made me open my eyes to what is good and bad about growing economy's and businesses.
Portland and Atlanta are very much opposites in a list that can go on and on but they also have some similarities. For instance Portland has a very large, and fast growing population. People are just coming to the city to see the nice environmental areas but also the city itself, Atlanta as well has a very large fast growing population and it's making the city want to expand and Portland would like to as well. Another similarity is how the urban sprawl is taking over suburbs and places where is was natural and green, this is mostly because of the population like I was explaining earlier

My first is how Portland is very protective of its environment, the Portland government has a hard decision because people ,e are drawn to Portland because of its beautiful views and natural ares but with more and more people coming they need more places to live and the city will have to expand which is a big concern because of the environment. My second difference is a pro with keeping it clean, Portland is a very beautiful and clean city and they take great prince in that but Atlanta is a big dirty city, people don't take care of it nicely and they just live there not treating it with the respect it deserves. Finally my last difference, in both Portland and Atlanta they have a very large growing population like I said I the beginning, well now to talk about the way they treat this large growing

No doubt, Gwinnett is one of the fastest growing communities in metro Atlanta, and has been since 1950. Having grown up here, I have witnessed firsthand the growth this community has seen. Much of the data that I wrote into this paper didn’t really surprise me as much as it reinforced my perception of the diversity and growth in Gwinnett County. Based on the recent 2010 census, it doesn’t appear that much is changing in regards to population. Even though this downturn in the economy has resulted in foreclosures and bankruptcies nationwide, it appears that the economy of Gwinnett County has…

The enviroment between the two cities are very different, and lastly the type of people that live in the two cities. People always say that living in a large city is a great quality, they like it because it let them get a lot of benefits; in my opinion, every place has its drawbacks; there is no perfect place that we can say: “It is formidable”. Cities are designed to place its inhabitants in a place they are able to afford. Because there is a social structure in the United States, the wealthy and the poor are placed within their social groups. The wealthy are able to afford the best places in the city, and because they have the means, there will be more money invested in their property. The poor on the other hand get the least favorable parts. These parts are usually the least expensive for the crime, the aesthetics, and the environment. Cities are built with the value in mind. The houses will be bigger in the best part of the city, the cars would be more luxurious, there will be less police because there would be a low crime rate in that part. The community would be quieter and there would be less convenient stores. The overall…
