Porter’s four strategies are: Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Cost Focus, and Focus Differentiation. I believe AutoZone has a good strategy for growth. Looking at where they started years ago to now, you can tell that something has to be working for them. The company was also the first to have electronic catalogues which was a huge seller for their company and also competition.
The first step is to establish the mission and the vision which everyone should do at the beginning of their company. I do believe that they are the in the feedback loop. The never-ending loop is what I think of. A company is constantly getting feedback, whether it be positive or negative. It’s what the company does with that feedback that is most important.

Some opportunities are the increasing of store expansion internationally, a culture that has shown unable to be copied but other auto part stores. A threat would be the consistent competition from other companies, new and old companies. But just like with most other businesses, you have to come up with ways to stay on top. AutoZone has always been more innovative than a lot of other auto parts companies. I do believe that they will continue to be profitable because despite all of the debt and competition they have managed to succeed and come out on top.
