Avoidant Attachment Style Analysis
The avoidant attachment style, is one of the most interesting attachment styles to me because I tend to relate to it most. I am primarily secure relationship style, however when learning more about avoidant behavior I was kind of shocked to realize I related to it also.
A person with an avoidant attachment style believes that they are okay, but that other people are not. In other words, they believe that they are worthy or love, and capable of getting the love they want and need. However, they see others as incompetent and/or untrustworthy.
This attachment style can then be broken into three shades. The first is narcissistic avoidance, meaning the person needs a lot of praise, for example, Gaston from The Beauty and the Beast. Another shade

    Personally as a child I developed a secure attachment with my parents as they were responsive to my needs and caring, they were there when I needed them and they provided me with reassurance to explore my environment.
