Throughout my week, I eat healthy meals everyday by eating at least 3 different types of fruit, and eating nutritious foods containing vegetables, meats and soups. I avoid eating unhealthy snacks during school by not buying chips, soda, and candy from classes. Instead, I bring home lunch that is made by my mom so I’m not tempted to buy any other foods that are unhealthy, while getting the nutrition I need. Another factor that affects my BMI is the amount I do physical activity every week. On Sundays, I participate in family hikes which improves my cardiovascular endurance and my overall strength. It keeps me physically motivated for the rest of my week by going on the treadmill every other day and running for about 30 minutes. Although I have weekly routines to improving my BMI, I have downfalls that negatively affects my BMI. For example, when my mom goes grocery shopping, she brings home a lot of junk foods that I always have the habit of eating. If no one else eats it, why don’t I eat it? I have this mentality of eating all the food that is given because I don’t like wasting food. This lifestyle consists of the consumption of unnecessary junk foods that is being put into my body.
