Integration of Faith and Learning Character is extremely important in every aspect of life, whether that be in business or personal relationships. Without character, how can one be trusted, honest, or capable of understanding? It is necessary for one to understand what the Holy Bible says about character. One of the verses that relates to character is Romans 5: 3-5 in the New King James Version (1982) which reads,
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (p. 650).
This verse would mean that through the suffering people endure they find perseverance and with the perseverance they build character. Character allows them to build and maintain their hope in God and everything that God and the Holy Spirit had empowered us with. …show more content…
There is another verse that speaks about the character that people show and that is Galatians 5:22-23 which reads, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law” (p.674). This verse speaks of how true character is developed through the situations that people face. Actions almost always speak louder than the words people speak. When actions are not proper, good, or following in the manner that true character would deem appropriate, then the devil is at work and people must fight this if they are to show Jesus and his ways to the
world.
Marketing management is “the art and science of choosing target markets and getting, keeping, and growing customers through creating, offering, and freely exchanging products and services of value with others” (Kotler & Keller, 2012, p. 5). Character in marketing management is important because in marketing the purpose is to attract customers to a product or service. If marketing is done without the firm having character or the person in charge having character how are customers or consumers going to be able to trust the firm. Without trust and honesty, which are part of character, consumers cannot be sure of the interactions. Things could go very wrong when someone has no character. People with character are usually honest, trustworthy, and willing to go out of their way to help others whenever they can. Those are the kinds of people that this world needs in order live up to God’s word and to show the world the way Jesus lived. He never would have lied to someone or stole from someone because it was what he needed. He always told the truth and always helped others when he was able to do so. That is what marketing management needs in order to be successful. Marketing management is important to understand in the business world, and for the business world to remain successful the way it has been, character is an important term to understand.
