I did not list experience on my resume, so below I have mentioned it.
I began babysitting when I was 11 years old. I have babysat for the same family for approximately eight years now. Unlike some, newborns and infants do not intimidate me. I have a niece who will be 2-years-old in May, and I have had the pleasure of babysitting her numerous times! She has also come to stay overnight with me, so I am experienced in putting infants to bed and checking on them throughout the night. My niece is extremely active, which has taught me to keep up with little ones all the time! I love making crafts with her and taking her to the park to play.
I have babysat children between the ages of newborn-10 years old. While babysitting, I have taken the children to all of their activities, to swim, to just run around, etc. I am laid back in the sense that when the kids want to play, we play! I do not, however, let them overrule me. Throughout my years of being a babysitter, I have come across many coughs, sniffles, and sick kids. I am able to take care of them just as their parents would. Being sick does not run me off- In fact, it makes me extremely sympathetic, and more apt to nurture them. …show more content…
Babysitting to me is not just a job.
Knowing that I can be of some sort of positive influence on these children is worth it to me, even if I am a small part of it. I was also a part of the Interfaith Preschool program in high-school, and formed many strong bonds with the children there. I learned so much during my time there and would not trade that experience for the world. Also, some weeks at church I work in the nursery rather than sitting in the sanctuary; this has helped build my experience with large groups of children, most of which are
toddlers.
Though I do love the Ole Miss football games, I would not even blink an eye about missing and staying to watch your kids for you! I had the opportunity to attend the games this year, and as long as I am able to go home for Arkansas weekend I will be happy. Also, if you need a sitter on any other days, I would be happy to do so. I take all morning classes, so I am done usually by about 11-12 everyday. I will also be in Oxford around June this Summer and will be available.
Can't wait to hear from you!
Thank you,
Amanda Przybysz
