Beatrice has this instinct that she is different and she doesn't belong in Abnegation. Wistfully as she observe the temerarious chaos of the Dauntless born kids as they crow and leap from running trains on the way to school, beatrice struggles with her emotions because at sixteen years old, her aptitude test and choosing day have arrived. However, Beatrice's test results are leading to no conclusion or definite result. She is one of a very rare subset of the population of dystopian chicago: a Divergent. Her tests show that she does not neatly fall into one factions but displays traits paramount in Erudite, Abnegation and Dauntless clans. How could any one person with their multifarious sentiment and experience. Chosen at the age of sixteen, no less. Beatrice Prior or Tris is a selfish, manipulative, and vindictive as hell. In which, when a character asks for her forgiveness, she coldly refuses. Readers might loved the fact that tris get seriously beat up, and while she does toughen up and become a better fighter and she becomes an amazing sharpshooting dauntless and that's cool. In this story the amazing part that reader must like is the believable tension between herself and her fellow initiates, the discrimination she feels as a stiff, her anger with her family, and most of all how tough she has to become to survive and truly be dauntless and divergent. But the best part to you readers is when she does this electrifying decision "blood before faction". She abandoned his family but still blood runs in her veins.
