Becoming A Co-Editor-In-Chief Of High School

Leadership is an important skill for any person to have in their life. It is a major part of my everyday life and the decisions that I make. I use my own leadership skills to help and to influence the people around myself. High school has been a very good time for me to develop my leadership skills. Throughout the years that I have spent at Wisconsin Valley, I have become co-editor-in-chief of the school’s yearbook. This position requires me to both assist people in what they are doing and make important decisions on my own. Being co-editor-in-chief has taught me how to deal with people, stress, and last minute changes. Those things are useful in a good leader. This year, I was appointed by the teachers in charge of student council to be
the treasurer of student council. This position will not only teach me how to deal with money, but also how to work with other people to make important decisions for our school. I will inform my fellow council members on the state of the finances that we make or spend. When I volunteered for Vacation Bible School at my church, I was put in charge of a group of ten or eleven children every day. I led them to five different stations every day and made sure that each of them was where they were supposed to be.
I also have small leadership positions in my life outside of school. When my parents leave my brothers and me at home, I am often in charge of making sure everything goes as smoothly as it possibly can. My parents often tell me that when I am put in a situation that requires it, I can crack down on people to do what they are supposed to do.
