Becoming A Physician's Assistant
What are you going to do for the rest of your life after you graduate high school? It's a big decision to make when you are only Seventeen years old, but yet everyone expects you to have the answer. We are asked this same question all through out are elementary and are high school career. In 6th grade we all wanted to be astronauts, professional sport players, and the next President of the United States. Now that we have grown up we have come to the realization that becoming the next Lebron James or Neil Armstrong Is no longer an option. Despite the difficulty of this question i have come up with an answer for myself. Becoming a Physician's Assistant has always been a dream of mine simply because i enjoy helping people in need. I have always
had a never ending curiosity for the medical field, but why did i choose Physician’s Assistant when their are dozens of health related careers you may ask. Well it took some time and lots of research while asking questions to not only other people but myself. I have chose this specific profession for multiple reasons. One of those reasons would be because you are always under the supervision of a Physician. There for you are never working alone and can always have a second opinion given to you by the Physician about your patient. Another reason would be the amount of schooling. Any career in the medical field is going to take hard dedication and work, but personally attending college for 10 years to become some sort of doctor is not something i could see myself doing. That is why i chose physician assistant and the 5 to 6 years of college that come with it. I have spent almost two years researching and thinking about my future career, and when it comes down to it i think a physician assistant is what i aspire to become.
