Becoming An ER Doctor

Becoming a ER doctor takes lot of time and hard work. I know that journey will be very long and I am willing to do it. To earn a bachelor's degree there is no required major but there are few classes that needs to be taken in order to get into medical school. Especially science related courses. In order to get into medical school I need to take MCAT. Once I finish MCAT steps for becoming ER doctor includes: obtaining a Doctor of Medicine degree, obtaining a license to practice medicine, completing a residency program and entering a fellowship program. There's a lot of competency. Most core competency of ER doctor requires patient care, medical knowledge, Systems-Based Practice (SBP), Communication skills, practice based learning and improvement
and professionalism. Along with academics I need to get involved in extracurricular activities. Extra curricular activity that I will focus on is volunteering and clinical research. These experiences will help me stand out in my admission for medical school. The program that I am interested in is John Hopkins University. In order to get into John Hopkins Medical graduate program I need to have a degree in BA or B.S., pass standardised testing, have strong committee letters, complete courses in biology, chemistry, physics, math, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, computer literacy, communication skills and team skills. I also need to fill out the AMCAS application. Occupation that includes in ER departments consists of Emergency physician, Emergency Nurse practitioner, Emergency Physician Assistant, Flight Nurse, Certified Emergency Registered Nurse, Certified Emergency Registered Respiratory Therapist and Emergency Medical Technician. No matter which emergency occupation I pick I know I will be fulfilling my dream and be proud of what I have become because no everyone can do it.
