During clinicals, Mrs. Altman always made sure that her students performed their best. She was such a great motivator; she kept me on my toes, and made sure that I did what had to be done in order to succeed in her class and in life. She would take extra time with me just to make sure that I had a plan for my future. Mrs. Altman is actually the person who motivated me to attend Francis Marion to pursue my career in Nursing. She also instilled in me that I could become anything that I wanted to be despite all trials and tribulation that were to be faced in life. I also learned that cockiness is not the route to take when you plan on succeeding in life. On the way to the testing site, 2 of my friends were boasting about how easy it’s going to be and how they know they are going to pass. I just sat there, nervous, like I am now and silent. Both of my friends tested before me. I was so nervous when my name was called; however, my motivator, Mrs. Altman, told me to calm down and whispered “everything will be alright”.
