Benefits Of Lens
I want to spread the word about one of my favorite FREE aps; LensTag. LensTag is a genius application that helps recover stolen equipment and prevents someone from unintentionally purchasing stolen gear. The principle is simple, enter the serial number of your equipment into the database and if stolen, report it in the application. Now if someone is buying used gear and checks the serial number before buying, they can see if it’s stolen.

There are other benefits to LensTag. Once your gear is inventoried you can see the new and used value. I used this to report inventory and value to my insurance agent when I added coverage to my photography gear. You can also use the application to search for your cameras metadata online. It will

Martin Luther King, JR once said “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in the moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” This quote means that we only see people’s true color when they are faced with trouble or problems. I agree with this quote because you never know the people’s feelings until you know the problem they are faced with or are facing. Monster by Walter Dean Myers and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson used theme and setting to prove the critical lens. The main characters in both these novels overcome challenging situations by taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them. In their struggle to make the best of their circumstances, the main character Melinda in Speak and Steve in Monster illustrate the critical lens.…

The ethical lens inventory exercise is very useful and something that I have lost sight of over the years. I was first introduced to this concept when I first applied for a sales position over a decade ago. After completing the exercise, the results of my answers places me in the Rights and Responsibility Lens. Since no one is perfect, having blind spots is inevitable, my blind spot as a result of my answers states that "belief that motive justifies method." My strengths are reason and self knowledge, whereas my weakness is becoming judgmental and legalistic.…

The most important key to success, especially in music, is repetition alongside with determination. This is probably the most difficult part of the entire process, because it entirely relies on your efforts. Preseason is the time in marching band where your willingness to work hard and repeat the same drill over and over again will either bring you success or failure. After the first couple sweat drenched days of preseason, my enthusiasm began to lessen, as thoughts about giving up surfaced upon my brain. It is not easy to wake up every day at 7 in the morning and end the day at 11 at night and keep enthusiasm, but the energy of everybody else around me helped me realize that it can be accomplished. I could have given up and quit, but that would have been taking the easy way out. If everybody else can make it through this week, so can I. So I pushed myself to my limits, tried as hard as I could, did the drill over and over, marched until I was sore, and then kept on…

“There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” Mahatma Gandhi, preeminent leader of Indian nationalism in British-ruled India, surely spoke truth in that saying. Sadly, though, today’s world tends to frown on and shun people who agree with Gandhi and his views on homeschooling. Most of the opinion against homeschooling finds its base on misconceptions, although some other ideas exist for more practical reasons. However, homeschooling provides many benefits not only for the children but also for the entire family unit and even the community. Homeschooling favors more of a family centered lifestyle, takes special note of the needs and different convictions of each individual, and also…

The benefit verses the effect of fetal Magnetic Resonance Imaging has been a controversial subject for years. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a helpful tool for diagnosis of many diseases and abnormalities, but is it actually harmful to the fetus? Do the benefits of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging outweigh the risks? Ultrasound is the mostly commonly used imaging used in pregnancy, but in certain cases using fetal Magnetic Resonance Imaging in conjunction with ultrasound is very beneficial in planning and strategizing care for the fetus. Magnetic Resonance Imaging has been proven to help to better characterize mass, show location and extension of the lesion, and to show more detail in certain conditions.…

I have always been interested in learning about languages and have been taking classes since I was young. Even though I am currently far from bilingual, I love to learn about other languages, and I also desire to become fluent in a language other than English. I am fascinated with various languages and how being bilingual can influence multiple other aspects of a person’s life. While searching for an article, I was trying to find a study that showed some on the effects that bilingualism can have on a child’s development. This article intrigued me because it focused on the development of the working memory for both bilingual and monolingual children. The studies tested the children’s executive functioning skills instead…

Natural selection, a process that has long been essential to survival, suggests that those who can adapt to environmental change will likely be able to more successfully survive, and hence procreate, over time. When considering the impact of natural selection in relation to our modern human race, we can argue that discoveries in science means we have many fewer actual “predators” of concern when it comes to survival. Access to food, regulation of our shelters, and medical advancements are but a handful of survival-related arenas over which mankind has taken control when it comes to environmental impact. Never the less, despite applications of scientific knowledge, the human species is currently still subject to natural selection in new ways.…

Vaccinations have been one of the most highly debated subjects in the health industry since they made their first appearance, especially regarding children. Many people though may still be confused on whether or not these vaccinations are good for their children since there is evidence pointing in two different directions. There is much research to be done about both sides of the argument to decide if getting you child vaccinated is a good idea or not. This leaves many people with questions regarding if these vaccines are safe, if they work, and what the side effects are, not mention if they're necessary or not. After doing research and seeing both sides of the argument I believe that people should not vaccinate…
