National security is useful in combating domestic terror. Had it not been for national security after 9/11 civilians may still be living in fear from constant terrorist attacks. which is “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” without mass surveillance the people don't get the protection promised to them which is why through all of these apparent benefits one must ask themselves “what are the people thinking?” human rights activists and the people feel as if Mass surveillance is simply another way for the government to have complete control over todays society. and some feel that Mass surveillance is simply a cash cow, and another way to take money away from the little man. but even if all of these things were true, would this even suffice for all of the several benefits that we see within Mass surveillance? and the answer is no.
