Weakness to me is something that stops us from doing good, or normal day activities. I think that in the Bible they mention many weaknesses but one stands out to me more than the others. I believe that mankind’s greatest weakness is the influence of others. Like in the story of Adam and Eve they are told not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge by God, but then they are persuaded by the serpent that they should disobey God, and eat from it. They were so greatly affected by the words of others it contradicted what was right. I think that this story really does a good job at showing the effect of others words on our decisions. If people could just tune out the persuasive words of others then there would be less failure and disappointment. …show more content…
Strength to me is the power to do what is right, or to do something corageous.
In the bible there is one example of strength that caught my eye and it was the story of David and Goliath. David a measly kid wanted to fight a giant like Goliath, and with all odds against him he fought and killed him with the power of god and his sword. Believing in yourself when no one else does is the key to success; he wasn’t going to beat him thinking that he was weak. This and many other stories go to show believing in yourself is all you need, not the approval of others. If people today could just stop worrying what the numbers are, and just know that if they put their mind to it they can do anything there would be a lot more
success.
Another story of immense strength is the resurrection of Jesus. He told his followers and his disciples that he would rise in 3 days and he did. He had all of the people saying that he wasn't the son of God, and that he was the king of the Jews, but even then he didn't listen and just kept his promise. He had the strength to prove the people wrong even after then tortured him so badly, and that's real strength.
Strength and weakness are highly addressed in not only the bible but in daily life. We all have weakness, but we need to learn how to use our strengths to trump the weaknesses. Listening to your heart rather than others words, and believing in yourself will help you do nothing but succeed.
