CW’s popular show, Arrow, follows the life of billionaire playboy, Oliver Queen, who spent five years on an island and returned home to Starling City with an agenda. In the first season of the series, Oliver reunited with his family and friends and wanted to help his late father to right his wrongs with the small book of names he left behind after they were shipwrecked. When Oliver returned to Starling City, he started to dress as a hooded vigilante at night to find the wealthy people of Starling City who were “failing the city” and tortured or killed them. Soon after, he built a small team with John Diggle, his partner, and Felicity Smoak, a computer specialist and his love interest for part of the show, to help with his crusade of saving

Adler studied birth order and argued that there was a difference on a person and their behavior and personality. In “Personality Theories”, by Eric Shiraev, it stated that “Adler believed that first born children, because of their upbringing, should be more serious, conscientious, aggressive, conservative, organized, responsible, independent, fearful, high achieving, and competitive than their siblings”. First born children are less open to new ideas, more dominant, and more conscientious. They also might feel less important once they get a younger sibling and needs to learn how to share and care for their sibling. In addition, first born children strive for perfection and mastery because expectations are set high from parents to set a good example for their sibling. In the article, “Is Birth Order Destiny?” by Susan Krauss Whitbourne, explains that “The youngest child may feel less capable and experienced, and perhaps is a bit pampered by parents and even older sibs. As a result, the youngest may develop social skills that will get other people to do things for them, thus contributing to their image as charming and popular”, which reveals some of the characteristics of Oliver’s younger sister, Thea Queen. Actual birth order (the order a person was born in) may not have the same impact on a person’s personality as their psychological birth order (self-perceived position in family).
