one time. The secondary system is the support system, these are the programs that allow us to do specifics and do common tasks. The two specific organizational programs we will be seeing here will be office automated systems and functional IS systems.
Having an information system is imperative for any kind of business and will be resourceful in keeping things organized and on track .It will increase the effiencency of the business exponentially. Whether you have a brick and mortar business or an empire the main Idea is to have the appropriate foundation and tools for your business. Below are listed the five information systems that will help our record store strive.
1.) Microsoft Excel is an essential tool that will help us remain organized. In this application we will be able to organize expenditures, revenue and other things that require calculating or graphing. Having this system will help us keep track on what the business needs are and if we are meeting our goals and expectations as a business. a. The only draw back of this system is that at first it is a bit difficult to use but eventually it becomes second nature. 1.) The second system that will be beneficial and fairly simple would be outlook.
This is a good way to communicate with employees or customers if need be. The advantage of this system is that it is a multi taker. This system works as an organizer as well. It has a calendar, keeps track of your contacts and has a note pad for jotting down any information necessary. b. The draw back of this system is that there are free applications and systems like Gmail and yahoo which serve the same purpose, Also outlook can only be used with Microsoft programs. The upside is that it is versatile and has much functionality. 2.) Microsoft Quick Books is another program that will be beneficial to our establishment. This will help us pay our bills to vendors and do payroll. This system will make things easier for us especially when it comes to taxes and keeping tabs on our finances. c. The drawbacks of quick book there are upgrade fees that is possible to overlook due to the simplicity of the program. 3.) Microsoft word although simple very useful. We can use this application to write memorandums or a business proposal for future investors need be. d. The draw backs to this system are that it is prone to attacks. We would have to run Anti virus programs to avoid any
issues 4.) Microsoft Power Point .Whenever we need to have meetings that need to be clear quick and concise this will be essential. This will help for those visual learners as well. e. Draw backs of power point is that it does not always cater to all and the expense.
