Exposure to bisphenol A is usually thought of as short because it is believed to be rapidly metabolized. However many studies, including one conducted by Richard W. Stahlhut, Wade V. Welshons, and Shanna H. Swan provide evidence that that might not be the case. They investigated the relationship between BPA concentration in a urine sample and fasting. They hypothesized that if BPA was actually metabolized quickly, then fasting would decrease levels of the chemical in somebody´s pee. In the first month the amniotic sac and placenta develop along with a face, mouth, jaw, and throat. The embryo also develop blood cells and a heart tube. In the second month, ears, fingers, toes, and eyes begin to form. The arms and legs also begin to form during this stage. The nervous system, digestive tract, and sensory organs develop in these first six weeks and bone begins to replace cartilage. During the third month the arms, hands, fingers, feet, and toes are fully developed. The fingernails and toenails develop along with the beginnings of teeth. The fetus is fully formed after the first three months which is the most critical stage of development in a pregnancy. After the first twelve weeks, a chance for miscarriage drops
