Fiction Novel
This book is about Joey Pigza, a kid that always wants to help and take charge of correcting the wrong lives of people that he knows. His mom Fran and his dad Carter messed up their life, they’re always chasing each other and the result for that are his mom and her boyfriend Booth. He got this lesson after his grandmother passed out and his changes make people around Joey feel happy for him such as Mrs. Lapp his homeschooling teacher and her child, Olivia. The example is that she let Olivia go to the performance of the musical when Joey asked even that she doesn’t like it. After reading the book, I think that the theme of the book is life is short; you have to live for yourself, not for others. I like this book; it taught me that if I want to help people around me, I have to help myself first. And I rated this book 4 stars because it great but not perfect, the book didn’t have a very strong example to prove for the theme. I would introduce this book to my friend because they are young and they do not have a lot of experience in life so this book could help them to point out how their future will be.
