HEY!
My Summation
Why some lives really work and others don’t? This is a study that Dr. Henry Cloud set out to discover in his book 9 things you simply must do to succeed in love and life. Cloud begins by introducing the reader to some familiar people that he assumes he knows, but in all actuality he doesn’t. Instead these people possess the

My Investigation
My investigation deals with Kollar and the Identity Formation the Unfolding of God’s Grace. Kollar states that all human personality development begins with God’s intention (pg.55). This reminds me of Clouds 1st principle of dig it up, he speaks about the visible and invisible. The invisible is the thing that God placed in us, a desire to do a certain thing. Although placed by God it is our responsibility to bring it into the present by neutering it constantly. Failure to live out our God given desires can result in the whole world missing out on something great that God had pre-ordained.
DO!
After reading this book I relive that I can be successful in every area of my life. I have had many encounters with what Cloud calls déjà vu people, but I let them slip through the cracks. I have a new perspective on life and being successful, one day I would like to be referred to as a déjà vu person. I will simply do this by applying one of the most important of the 9 principle cloud mentions, which is principle 5 “act like an ant”

Mark McMinn’s book, Psychology, Theology, and Spirituality in Christian Counseling, 1996, brings theology, Christian spirituality, and psychology into the counseling responsibility. Faith, true, honest, heartfelt faith is his unceasing, steady, melody. McMinn just doesn’t just focus on using Christian doctrine in therapy sessions with your clients. He spends an equal amount of time coaching and educating on the invaluable importance of spirituality in the counselors life. Christian counseling strengthens three areas of a person’s life: sense of self, an awareness of human need and limitations, and confiding interpersonal relationships with God and others. When we are right with the Lord, when we walk in the Light, we led by example. We led by example at church, in daily living and in our profession.…

For forty years, Peterson focused on speaking at communication workshops and to couples. He dedicates his life to counseling and pastoral ministry. Peterson wrote Why don’t we listen better? Communicating and connecting in relationships to help couples gain the communication skills needed and improve their relationship. In the book Peterson introduced the flat brain theory in which he uses this theory to understand the problem of failed communication. The theory also shows how and why tense situations get us upset and what to do about it. He discusses where the stomach, heart, and head fit in the Flat-Brain Theory of Emotions. He stated that, “Communication is the lubrication designed to keep our functions of stomach, heart, and head working separately and together” (Peterson 2007, 16).…

Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple and Pixar, could captivate an audience when he spoke; his address to the graduates of Stanford’s 2005 class was no different. Jobs’s commencement address covered concepts ranging from love, to fate, to death, all of which were conveyed through three stories. The three stories’ overarching topic was that of happily living life by your own playbook. Jobs’s first allegory talked about fate and how everything happens for a reason; the second dealt with doing what you love in life. Jobs’s concluding story is about death and how it should not only direct your life, but can make it easier too. The purpose of Steve Jobs’s address, specifically the concepts of fate, love and death, is to inform the graduates how to live a happy life. A happy life is sought by everyone, and Steve Jobs’s commencement address provides a template for a happy life and how he attained it through the concepts fate, love and death.…

A guy is waiting for the light to turn green as he notices a Lamborghini pull up next to him, in his head he’s thinking wow this guys has a lot going for him. At the same time he notices on the other side of his car another guy pulls up driving a Kia. He laughs because based on his vehicle the overall assumption is that he’s struggling through life, just because he doesn’t have a nice car. In today’s society we base success on money and power, but the average person will never see that being successful is way more than just money and power. Being successful starts with a dream or a goal in someone’s life. Not everyone will have the same dream, so everyone’s view of success will be different. Being successful is being able to do what you love in life; this is the secret of being successful. This secret is based on a 3-part process of Ask, Believe and Receive. At the end of this process there will be love, where there's love there be success.…
