Bottled water in Australia is consumed mainly for four different reasons.
Firstly, 95% of the human body is made up of water and has to be maintained no matter the reason. Secondly, some people wish to avoid certain chemicals used in the treatment of public water supplies therefore turning to the chemical free alternative. Thirdly, bottled waters are convenient to carry hence making it suitable for travelling and leisure activities. Fourthly, one of the main reason for people buying bottled waters is because of the taste, with the variation in tastes of the different local water supplies across the county, more people prefer the consistent refreshing taste of bottled
water.
The bottled water industry is comprehensively regulated as a packaged food product by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ),there are about 50 different types of Australian domestically bottled water available today, the most common ones are indicated below:
Most of us have heard about Bling H2O water by now. And people talk over Bling H2O bottled water.Somebody said” Seems incredible that people are willing to part with around $35 a bottle considering that literally millions of people around the world struggle everyday to find enough clean drinking water to survive.”
Needless to say, anyone who buys this water should have their lips sewn together.
Some people think it’s quite thoughtless and a huge waste of resources. They would be extremely embarrased holding one of those, like I am when I carry a plastic bag. It’s water. It should be the right of everyone, not turned into a commodity for profit.
Its classy nature, general public will not have access to this water. Ethical concerns no longer apply as 'the general public' will not pursue purchasing this water. Without the want for this product, it does not affect them as a whole.
This water is designed for people in hollywood. it has retained its nature in this area.. enforces the concept of materialism. This is ethically incorrect when there is still extreme cases of poverty.
This product is promoted as something from hollywood, which in itself may become a role model for members of gen y and z. This delivers wrong messages of materialism, social classing, what water is actually about etc. to the younger generation.
This product displays a lack of care for the environment. It is only there to generate revenue. Distorts and destroys the basic concept of water being the source of all life. Consumers will lose contact with this concept.
