To find out a little more on this topic I decided to carry out an act of breaching the cultural norm. This was a case study to analyse my feeling and the feelings of others who were present at the time .

My thoughts started to trigger emotions of me being bloody foolish doing this, this then made me become anxious, edgy and a bit skittish, even feeling like I should back down and not carry the act through. But at this stage I had been seen by other college students with the wig in my hand so there was no point in backing down now.
So in I marched into the lecture with my psychedelic turquoise wig on and the reaction was from the lecturer when he asked was I feeling OK, I replied Yes I’m OK! you ? Now luckily for me he’s a broad minded person but I think he was on edge for the rest of his lecture to see if I was going to carryout some other act to disrupt his lecture. The reaction from all the students was one where they saw it as more of a rebellious act on my behalf then a foolish one! As they laughed and cheered for a few seconds but totally excepted my change in appearance and the lecture continued as if nothing that happened.
My overall feelings on the action in the case study is that younger adults are open minded when it comes to breaking a cultural norm and after a period of time it becomes acceptable in society as long as it does not have a physical impact on them, for me it has also changed the way I view things in my everyday life ( live and let live and be open to try new
