Brother Doodle Analysis

Brother is guilty because he left Doodle. I think Brother is guilty because he in the mud when he fell. The reason I say this is because Brother was technically “in charge” or “taking care” of Doodle at the time of his death. Another reason I say this, for example is because he always had Doodle with him because their Mother made Brother take Doodle along with him. He might not have liked this so he decided that enough was enough and made the plans to leave him out in the mud. So knowing he was faster than Doodle, He ran away and left him in the mud when he fell.
Another reason I think Brother is guilty is because at one time he wanted to kill Doodle. The reason I say this is because in the story Brother wanted to smother Doodle with a pillow.
He want back to see if he was coming in behind him, but that still doesn't explain why he left Doodle in the mud like that. The reason I say this is because it gave Brother No excuse to leave him behind in the mud. Another reason I say this is because when doodle was little he Wanted to kill him but he didn't because he knew what his parents would think if they found him dead on the bed.
The last reason I say that Brother is guilty is because he was mean to doodle sometimes. The reason I say this is because Brother often got mad at doodle, and would make him do things that he didn't want to do. For example, when Brother wanted him to touch the coffin and Doodle didn’t want to, Brother threatened to leave him up in the shed and wasn't gonna take him. Or like when Doodle made Brother upset by telling his parents he did something he didn't actually do. Like when he said he heard the frog when he actually did not.
Because he left him in the mud when he fell, Brother is guilty of Doodles death, as he was responsible for leaving him.The reason I say this is because Brother said he was ashamed of having a handicapped brother, and also he wanted to kill him at the beginning of his life. So therefor, Brother is guilty of Doodles
