Bud Not Buddy Character Analysis
The theme of the book “Bud Not Buddy” by Christopher Paul Curtis is love cures tragedy because the main character Bud endures lots of tragedies but he also finds love on his journey.
Bud’s first tragedy happens when his mom died then he got sent to an orphanage he calls The Home. Next he gets fostered by the Amoses and they treat him very unfairly, they even locked him in the shed. After that he escapes and he is now alone and on the lam. Even though all these tragedies all seem bad he still finds love all places to turn it all around. When he woke up one day under a Christmas tree he finds Bugs right and front of him and it was scary at first but they sticked together side by side until he lost him at the train station.
