Bud Not Buddy Sparknotes
Bud, Not Buddy is a story loved by the nation, but if it was written in the Amos's perspective it would be a whole new book. If it was written in the Amos's perspective we would only know lies about Bud. Also, Bud would probably be known in a different way (because they don't like him very well.) Also, the book wouldn't be about Bud (So the title would be wrong.) So, if it was written in the Amos's perspective we wouldn't know what happened to Bud in the original story.

To begin with, Bud, Not Buddy is a great book filled with a lot of ups and downs. For instance, or the story revolves around Bud finding his father (which turns out to be his grandfather.) For the beginning of the story (or chapter 1) Bud Lives in an orphanage, his mom died when he was six years old, and he was ten years old now. But also stated in chapter 1 he is going to his third foster home. He runs away from that foster home because they treated him poorly and he was on the lam. He meets a lot of people along the way to finding his father. When he found him he realized he was home.

For instance, there wouldn't be the truth about the fight that Todd and Bud had had. Also, stated in chapter two Todd's mom was babying and only believing Todd. Mrs. Amos yelled at Bud to the point that they got madder at him and put him in a shed. According to chapters two and three since the Amos yelled at Bud we would be hearing the Amos's thoughts (which are bad thoughts about Bud) so we would probably think that Bud deserved it because we didn't know the

No bud doesn't he never even knew his dads name. But since then Bud has been on many let's say fun adventures and even kissing a girl but he was a foster child and escaped from this family named the Amos. Bud, Not Buddy would have been a deferent book if there would have been modern technology because he could have called his dad, he could have watched tv instead of fitting with Todd, and the police would of caught up with him faster. To begin with, bud could have found his dad and that would completely change the story as a whole. If he could have called his dad he wouldn't of had to walk all the way to grand rapids to see him.…

The historical events is my book Bud, Not Buddy were in fact true but, the main plotline of the story (Bud’s perspective) wasn’t. The Story describes the problem in the story, The Great Depression. The Great Depression was infact a real event that had lasted from the 1920s to the 1930s. Many people, especially blacks, were mistreated in the 1930's. In the book, "Bud, Not Buddy", Bud may have had an easier life if race was not an issue. In the book, Bud is trying to find his long-lost grandfather. He goes many places to try and find him. Race is a disadvantage in the story because Bud is mistreated at some point and it affects how the story goes.…

Well, Buddy was still smiling when a guy who wasn’t even in charge of him scolded him. One of the things he says in the movie is “I just like smiling, smiling’s my favorite!” When watching the movie, people may remember the part when Buddy goes to pick up Michael from school, they run into some snowball throwing bullies. Buddy doesn’t just run away, but helps Michael chase away the bullies. They hide behind a snow mount, and then Buddy pelts all of the bullies with snowballs. Good morning year 11, thank you for turning up to what will be an engaging analysis of the complexity of conflict in literature. If you ponder upon it, how many of us have experienced some form of conflict in our lives? No doubt all of you. But year 11, it is the way in which we handle this conflict that moulds us into the individuals we are today. My work in the novel ‘We all fall down’ has caused some controversy in schools simply because I paint the picture of characters who fail to metaphorically ‘get back up’. I’ve no doubt that if you look closely enough around this room you will associate someone with these problems and that’s what I’d like to explore today; the complex character that is Buddy Walker. The thing that really got the critics cranky was Buddy’s escapist tendencies. The reason being that Buddy drinks, he drinks a lot to assist him in sanding down the rough edges in his highly conflicted life, and that will be the focus of our discussion today. Year 11, I would now offer you some valuable advice in the hope that you will learn from Buddy’s mistakes, and that is that in life, it’s not about how you fall down… It’s how you get up.…
