Business Entities, Laws, and Regulations
Once Lou and Jose open a sports bar and restaurant with the help of Miriam they would qualify for an LLP. Though Miriam doesn’t have time to participate in the business he still has a percentage of ownership due to his funding the business. As for Frank he is a wealthy investor who plans on opening a chain of exterminating businesses across the United States. This will be a corporation and will not qualify for LLP and LLC could be an option since he plans on making the company nationwide. This would lead Frank to form a true corporate entity. Frank could go ahead and file for the standard C Corp which will allow his business to take in 30 investors and this would occur based on franchises or other opportunities by which he can obtain investors’ money for the business.
