The case studies which are used in this report and the competitive values frame work, they can be found in the Management An Introduction, by David Boddy, fifth edition, text book
3 Analysis and Findings
Looking at the three case studies will soon show the main differences of the management approach.
Innocent Drinks
Was formed in 1998 by three friends Richard Reeds, John Wright and Adam Balon. They considered many ideas and spotted a common problem people are facing today, healthy life style. They came up with the idea of making natural bottled smoothies what people can buy on their way to work. It was obvious that other smoothie brands were already available on the market so the aim was to make a better quality and not to add anything and not to take away, just purely natural fruit crush.
Decision making at Innocent
They split the roles efficiently to build the business. Reed looked after the advertising coming from that background while Balon took on sales with his sales experience and Wright took over operations. They had no chief executive instead all lead the company to reach its maximum potential.
Later on the company employed jut highly educated and skilled managers to maintain good quality product.
Company growth
The company’s sales grow rapidly, reaching to sell two million bottles a week in 2010, and extended in many countries in Europe
