Subject : A Standard Report To Improve Safety In The Factory

1.0 INTRODUCTION

As an Occupational Health manager of the factory, I had a tour to the factory the past few days. While I was looking at the Material and Handling department, I discovered that the operators of that department didn’t abibe the safety regulations as stipulated. They were ignoring the safety regulations at their work. Handling and storing materials involves diverse operations such as storage of corrosive chemicals , presence of large quantities of dry fabric or paper can increase the risk and spread of fires.

People have to be trained to use all machinery which is needed at work so that it is used correctly and does not pose a risk to yourself and others. Identifying and following procedures should be practised in the work place. Organizational practices that promote safety can also help a company establish competitive advantage by reducing costs of absenteeism due to accidents and complying with safety laws. People who are working in our company have to recognise the risks when using substances such as toner or correcting fluids. These should be dearly labelled so they are not used for other purposes. Mr. Sample will counter a few of these arguments with his own interpretation of the factors along with other relevant factors regarding the idea that Kary is an independent contractor instead. Sample will argue for the factor of “the extent of any training provided by the employer.” (Id. at 710, 845 P.2d at 706). He will argue this factor because there is not any proper training that is really provided by him. All he does is explain the rules to new hires and provide a list of suggestions that may help them in their sales. He will argue that this is not really training and that the vendors are selling the peanuts according to their own methods, which is a qualification of an independent contractor.…

“Police statistics reflect a growing number of livestock cases”, Sunday standard.livestock theft cases are now hitting the high rocks. People are always complaining to the government and some are even threatening when no action is taken concerning this issue of theft. Many Batswana attach a disproportionately high premium, emotional value and importance to their livestock. we already have foot and mouth disease as a problem and when their livestock goes astray it makes matters worse. this is not only a threat to the farmers only but to the whole nation. they might try to cope with the situations but it is not easy to accept it when it is done by another human being.it becomes unpardonable and unacceptable when they find out that they are losing their livestock to organised criminals who habitually come out of the shadows to steal their cattle, in most cases not for immediate consumption but rather for commercial reasons. the fact that the citizens are now loosing hope might lead to them taking the matter into their own hands and they might end up breaking the laws set by the government. Loss of livestock is a huge threat to the citizens of Botswana even our economy as a whole. Livestock is not only used for selling. it is, especially cattle, very valued for paying bride price.
