Capital punishment? Capital punishment in my opinion is inhumain and should be universally banned . I for one am completely against it. It is taking away the most important right as a human- Life! Murder is wrong! Since childhood, we have been taught this indisputable truth. Ask yourself, then, what is capital punishment? In its simplest form, capital punishment is defined as one person taking the life of another. Coincidentally, that is the definition of murder. There are 36 states with the death penalty in the U.S., and they must change. These states need to abolish capital punishment on the grounds that it carries a dangerous risk of punishing the innocent. It is unethical and barbaric, and finally it has been proven as an ineffective deterrent to crime versus the alternative of life in prison without parole. Why take a life for a life? That makes the executioner just as bad as the Criminal. Capital Punishment should be completely abolished!
