Captain Nielson And Whitney Diary Report
Dear, Captain Nielson and Whitney

You are probably wondering what happened to me, the last night that I had been on the ship after Whitney had gone to bed. I went to smoke pipe on the afterdeck. I had heard 3 gun shots somewhere, off in the blackness. When I heard the gun shots I went to see if there was anything I could see. But I couldn’t see anything so I got up onto the railing for a greater elevation, and then a rope hit my pipe and it was knocked from my mouth. As a reaction I lunged for it and I lost my balance and before I knew it, I was in the water. I cried out hoping someone would hear me and I tried to swim after the racing yacht but after I had swam about fifty feet, I began to realize there was no way I was going to catch up to it. I stopped in the water and I heard a high screaming sound, the sound of an animal in an extremity of anguish and terror. I didn’t even recognize the animal. I swam in the direction of witch the scream came from, and then I heard pistol shots. I swam on because it was the only shot I had to survive. As I had reached the rocky shore I got myself up with all the strength I had left and headed for the forest area and I found a tree with underbrush and that is where I slept because

I found a castle looking like house and I knocked on the door, and very bear like figure opened the door and I had a long-barreled revolver pointed directly at my heart. I introduced myself and made it clear I was no robber and I had no intentions to hurt anyone and said “I fell off a yacht”. The only answer was to raise his thumb hammer of his revolver. Then out of nowhere a man said “it is a very great pleasure and honor to welcome you”. The man who said that introduced himself as General Zaroff. The man holding the revolver had put it down and saluted the

I think that I went home and saw my beautiful wife and my kids, but really I wasn’t at home. In my situation, the soldier did fair because all people have to understand law. At the end of my story whole escape thing never happens. This was all my imagination while I was hanging from the noose. At the last moments of my life I just imagine this escape. Even once when I had a noose around my neck I thought that can control live and die. I died at the end, by hanging off the Owl Creek…

I opened my mouth to scream, to let out the heaviness inside of my heart, but I did not hear a sound. All I knew of was the warmth of my tears and the pounding in my head. No. I run into the water, my body being electrified with coldness. My arms slapping the water, I urge myself through to get to her.…

As I look back down from the sky and glance over the surface of the pond, I was able to notice some movement in the tree line ahead and in on the surface of the water. Those two things made me transition away my primary focus from my eyes, to my ears. As I scan the water and peek into the wood line at the same time, I’m listening very closely for any type of sound. All of a sudden I notice another movement in the water. At this time, I turn my head, and heard a loud drop, as some sort of fish breached the water.…

I knew I wouldn’t make it to the top of the murky, warm and brown waters. I could feel the oxygen being released quickly from my lungs and bubbles swiftly skimming my skin as I slowly reached the bottom of the lake. I heard the faint cries for help and loud splashing as my sight becomes blurred. I felt someone’s hands grab mine and pull me onto the grainy dusty dirt. My vision comes back and I feel everyone’s eyes on me. They all immediately start laughing at me as I stood up and brushed the dirt off of me, feeling something tightly clutch my body.…

It was a cloudy day at what looks like Sea Side Park. My father and I were standing on isolated boulders, nearby one another other, yet every single boulder was in the shape of an upside-down cone. Underneath us were the ocean’s tide, which was low at the point. The ground was visible but instead of sand being present, there were leaves and soil. We seem to have been fishing, for we were waiting till our line gets hit on. All of a sudden sharks and alligators came crawling from the water. The shark amazingly wobbled along side with the alligator. They were heading for us and my last memory was striking the alligator in the head.…

I woke up hazed with blurred vision. The right side of my face was dried and burned. The left side of my face was soaked in salt water and blood. I was freaked out and picked up my head and blinked rapidly. I saw nothing but blue for miles and miles, the sky and the water. When I looked down I saw nothing but a small black and orange rubber dingy. I tried to think about what had happened. It was then when I realized I couldn't even remember my own name. Then panic just settled in for some reason I jumped in the water freaking out. I came to my senses and quickly started using all my strength to hurdle myself in the dingy.…

Noticing the splashes of the waves more than anything, I never became fully aware about how far I’d gone out until it was too late. Not yet to the riptide, lucky me, I was able to catch ahold of myself. I spun myself around, I could just make out my grandmother’s cries, “Christine! Get back here, you’re too far out!” As I swung myself back to catch the board, I felt water up my nose, choked on the salty water, and got yanked under.…

The lake closed over her nose and mouth as Sara sucked in a lung-full of cold, black water. Sarah barely managed to get in another breath, she glimpsed quickly, she saw the dreadful red light of its eyes still shining accompanied by the horrifying howls. Sara felt her body beginning to tremble out of utter fear, for the beast was still pursuing her. Sarah took a deep breath of living restoring air, and submersed herself under the water. As I entered the ship, I looked around and thought to myself this is what I will call home for the next seven days. Tall beautiful glass elevators, stairs that lit up the room, and expensive looking furniture was what awaited us in the lobby. We eagerly waited for our floor to be called so we can get settled in our rooms. While we waited we were greeted by smiling faces, a guy playing on a grand piano, and waitresses serving drinks. We watched the faces on the other guests while they entered, reminding me of a little kid on Christmas morning. After waiting about an hour our floor was called and our luggage was waiting by our rooms. We entered the small but comfortable cabins where chocolate and towel origami’s sat on our perfectly made beds. Unpacking as fast as we could we couldn’t wait to go explore the ship. First, we find ourselves on the top deck waving goodbye to…

We head down the small creek that leads to the Matanuska River. Upon reaching the convergence of the creek and the river you could visually tell the difference in the water color, the creek was clear and the river water was full of silt and about 20 degrees colder! Right as we enter the river, not even 100 yards in we hit a very small rapid and with a great splash I go in! I am told that the look on my face was one for the ages between the look of shock and absolute fear. As I hit the water I began to instantly drift away from the boat, I thought to myself "I could have sworn that he told me what to do if I were to fall in; what it was?" So I reached my oar out to one of my friends, he was able to grab me and pull me closer to the boat; he would later pull me back into the boat. Once I was safely in the raft…
