Bauhaus influence on Carmen herrera can be seen from the simplicity and the combination of colour in the work she did along the years. Carmen Herrera says, “My quest is for the simplest of pictorial resolutions” (2012). With the impact of Bauhaus and one's imagination, in Herrera's work one can see how she is able to create both symmetry and asymmetry in her work. In addition to this, she also includes a lot of movement with a sense of rhythm with also some sort of tension which goes well with the most paint that attracts attention. Her works is an important milestone in the evolution of the Geometric Minimalism movement. The places include the Arts Student League and Universidad de La Habana. We see Herrera's work shown to the public several times at the Salon des Realites Nouvelles, Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in France.
