From the time I was a little girl, family has always been important to me. I love my family dearly, and they are extremely important to me. My parents have been married for 32 years and they are still happily married, which is something that I strive for in my own life. I have an older brother, Josh and a sister-in-law named Jessie, who gave me the cutest niece and nephew ever. Bentleigh is five and she is as sassy as ever. Riggs is 7 months old and is the happiest baby I have ever met. Being their Aunt JJ is a huge blessing for me. I do not have my own kids yet but I honestly never knew that my heart could love somebody that I just met until Bentleigh and Riggs were born. My parents have always raised me in church and made that an important part of life. Furthermore, my faith is very important to me. You see, I don’t want to just “get by” while I am here, I want to excel and do great here, because the way that I see it is the fact that this is an important career and these are people’s lives in my hands and I want to do a good job at this. I want to get myself on the deans list and then graduate on the deans list as well. As far as my professional goals, I just want to be a social worker and help people and for as long as I could remember that is what I have always had a passion for. I would love to work in hospice or in gerontology social work. My grandmother was in the nursing home and was not treated very well and I remember always wanting to do better than that.
