Case Study Of Navy Credit Union
Navy Credit Union does a good job portraying who they are, and what they do on their brief mission statement. I agree with you, that they can add the sentence about "You can leave the military, change employers, move, retire, and get married— and never have to leave Navy Federal". That will make their mission statement a more powerful one. This sentence can bring attention to military members that no matter where their life goes, they can trust Navy Credit Union in all of their financial matters. Additionally, this can eventually help attract more people and investors, which internally can help the growth of the company.
One thing specific on your post that confused me. You said that on their website they called vision statement not mission.

The Prince would change his skin color to gain Portia's love. He chooses the gold casket because he read the description of the casket in the wrong way.…

The creation of a vision statement can be the detrimental factor of the company’s success. It not only shows the current status of the company but it also guides the audience on where the company wants to go in its future. A Vision Statement is oftentimes the signature of a company indicating what their “dream” was, when they opened up their business. A vision is that of the owner and what he/she wanted to achieve by owning and operating that business.
