Causes Of The Civil War What do you think caused the civil war?Was it slavery or states rights?A very good question don't you think,well the north and the south are the key ingredients to this cause. As I can tell from information I’ve gathered slavery is by far the biggest cause of the civil war. Slavery haunts the north,the north are all against slavery and see this irritates the south.
