I am being profoundly blessed with the opportunity to be in the CBK program. This program gave me an open door for another chance to go exceedingly far in my life and not only make myself proud but my family as well. My ultimate goal for this year in CBK is nothing more than to graduate and go to college. In order to obtain my goal it is mandatory to set up strategies for myself.Without them it would be nearly impossible to accomplish the program and fulfill the commitment I have made to myself. Not a lot of my relatives have gone to college and if they have they didn't go far. College gives a person so much pride and would give me ten times more because i'm african american. It is a known fact that black women from ages 18-25 are most likely not enrolled in college.I want to break the cycle and set an example for the younger people who look up to me. From experience I know half way doing things is not setting yourself up for the real world. Most likely it will not generate valuable work to your professors when you get into a college. Older people than myself constantly say it only gets harder as you get older. Logically why not do the best you can possibly do when you are able.
