Expressing his determination to do away with rote learning and the “archaic” examination-oriented system, he said: “We are endeavouring to reform this with emphasis on skill development and unlocking the creative talent within the child.” The Ministry’s decision to do away with examinations at the end of the year, replacing them with a Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation (CCE) system in a bid to de-stress children, was a step in that direction.
It has to be, however, said that CCE will not de-stress the children all by itself. Students are under stress due to the range of competition. In spite of reducing stress of studies on students this system was introduced by indian educational minister mr kapil sibal . But this system resulted in concentrating student's towards their assignments and projects rather than their studies.students takes their studies lightly as they had maked themselves dependent on formattives . Grading system is another drawback of cce .a student scoring 90 marks and a student scoring 99 marks will both be compared equal as they both will get a2 .another thing is that cce grantees that no students will fail but does not grantees that they will get jobs to them .cce had reduced syllabus ,students feels that it is good for them because they will have to study less but they do not know that this will create many problems for them in future. Cce is just trying to show that india is becoming literate as no students fails.
