Change In Forrest Gump

Someone once said “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” Throughout life as we get older, gain experiences, and, mature we go through different stages in life that no only help us learn new things but also teaches us lesson that we take and apply to things that we experience in the future. These changes can be witness within yourself as well as in the people around us. In the movie Forrest Gump it beings with the main character Forrest sitting on a public transportation bench with his suitcase and a woman comes as sits beside him and he offers her a box of chocolate. After she rejects the offer he begins to share with her his life story about growing up with a 75 IQ and having braces on his legs but never how he never let any of that stop him, especially with help of his loving mother and best friend Jenny. As he is sitting on the bench waiting for the bus he continues to share his story about him playing American football, being able to meet the president, going to college and even signing up for the army. At the time he was shipped off to fight in the Vietnam war and meets a man named Bubba who shares his dreams with Forrest about being in the shrimping business.
mistrust. This is the stage where a child develops a sense of trust for their caregivers based on how reliable their care and affection is to the child. A lack of this can result in a child developing mistrust. In the movie Forrest Gump the main character Forrest has a very significant bond of trust with his mother. Throughout his life she builds that trust bond with him beginning with never making him feel different because of his braces on his legs. She referred to his braces as magic shoes and did her best to make sure he never felt different than anyone else.
