BROAD AND SPECIFIC AREAS OR TOPICS OF INVESTIGATION
Games are an integral part of all societies. Like work and relationships, they are an expression of some basic part of the human nature. Games are formalized expressions of play which allow people to go beyond immediate imagination and direct physical activity. Games capture the ideas and behaviors of people at one period of time and carry that through time to their descendants.
Mobile games can be broadly defined as embedded, downloaded, or networked games conducted in handheld devices such as mobile phones, portable consoles, and PDAs. The key element of this concept is portability: all games in portable devices can be thought of as mobile games without regard to wireless functions. Therefore, this concept expands mobile games by including video games in portable consoles and embedded games in general portable devices such as PDAs, calculators, and dictionaries. As most game devices have been adopted with wireless networking functions, this definition becomes more powerful in game markets.
Crossword puzzles can be an amusing but also a challenging hobby. The basic assumption in these puzzles is rectangular arrangements of boxes. Some of these boxes are black and others are prepared to take single letters. Each word in the grid is enclosed in black boxes or the outside. Optionally there may be rectangular regions left blank inside the puzzle.
