The character that I chose to talk about was Bart Simpson from the cartoon the Simpson. “According to simpsoncrazy.com on the internet (n.a.), Bart name was Bartholomew Jo-Jo Simpson, he was known as the one to cause trouble in the family. Bart Simpson is the eldest of the siblings and he has signs of Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder (ADHD). Bart Simpson is ten years old well was in nine teen eighty nine when the Simpsons show was produced. He is two years and thirty eight days older than Lisa.” Bart does not meet the two areas of topical development because cognitively his brain isn’t well developed, and that is proven because he doesn’t listen very well and he likes to ask the same things over and over again. He is not where he should be age wise according to his brain because he does things that are not normal for a ten year old. His social and personality are not really developed because he meets the social aspects but not the personality because is not very friendly and he can’t help the way that he does things because his disorder is inherited by his father.
According to study mode on the web, (Doo,2012), it is shown that Bart Simpson has ADHD because there are three things that are shown on the show, the first is when the principal was mentioning the firefighting equipment and Bart Doesn’t listen and repeatedly ask each one of them about one another. He also didn’t listen to what the principal was telling him. The second sign was when Bart flooded the school gym without wanting to face the consequences. The third is when Bart just repeatedly talks excessively about anything. According to yahoo, ADHD is a psychological disorder that affects 2.6 school aged children and 2.5 million adults. It shows that one to three percent have the full ADHD syndrome without having any other disorders. One of the
