·Children who grow up in families short of money are better prepared to deal with problems in their adult life than children who are brought up by wealthy parents. Do you agree or disagree?
In current society, family has been viewed as one of the most essential elements of the process of children education. Therefore, some people believe that children live in poverty are better adjust themselves to social life and solve all kinds of problems when they become adults than children raised in rich families. For this view, I think it lacks thorough consideration.
Admittedly, in terms of bearing hardships, children raised in poor households indeed have some inherent advantages than others. They are generally more independent and more hard-working. Due to their parents’ limited incomes, these children at very young age have shouldered the responsibility for supporting family to work outside for their own tuition fee. These above experiences would indeed very helpful for career success in the future. However, precisely because that children from poor families which are a limited environment, they are always so short-sighted and overcautious that they can not run a risk , which makes them miss a lot of opportunities to successes.
On the contrary, increasing wealthy individuals are senior intellectuals since the beginning of the opening up policy, which pay more attention to children education than parents in poor ones. For one thing, thanks to economic strength, the children growing up in wealthy families are enabled to receive high-quality education in well-facilitated schools where the opportunities aiming to nurture their social skills and management strategies are abundant. As a result, they are more competitive in future career development compared with those born in poverty-stricken families.
