The student is presented with the concepts related with chemicals and chemistry, starting by the need to understand numerical structures of the metric system in the sciences. After discovering the basics of atomic and molecular structure and the calculations necessary to experiment with these materials, will be study the factors which can affect these structures. You will understand that all matter is composed of elements and how the amounts of some of them are crucial to the proper growth and function of the body. Classroom Decorum Please note that smoking, drinking, and eating are not allowed in MDC classrooms. All students are expected to maintain a professional and courteous attitude during class. All cellular phones must be turned off or placed in silent mode prior to entering the classroom or laboratory. Use of cell phones, including earpieces, is strictly prohibited during class. Cell phones cannot be used as calculators during a test, and text messaging is strictly forbidden while in class, and especially during a test or exam.

Students are encouraged to make use of instructor’s office hour. Office hours are posted on the instructor’s door Room T-302-1. Help is also available in room 2141 (peer tutoring) and in the computer lab, room 2119 (first floor of the library).
