Christian Living Reflection
CLE Reflection Paper
It was a very good experience. Our Cle professor decided that we will have an output exam instead of written exam. I am again with my BFAST group and we decided to make our design. By the way, our output exam is to make a t-shirt with a Godly theme design and is to be given to a person. Luckily, I have a skilled group to help me design our t-shirt. During our first meeting, it was productive even though we haven’t had a t-shirt yet. That very first meeting was full of brainstorming. A lot of ideas are coming out form one amazing design. However, we weren’t contented with our design so we have decided to revise it. After we have created our blueprint of the design, it was time to present it to our professor for approval and yes, our design was approved. So now it’s time to create our t-shirt. The first meeting was a failure because we are not productive enough in making our t-shirt. But during the last days, we did our best to finish our t-shirt. Danica Lacanlale was our main painter and we are her backups. Jessa Miranda was our main editor/designer. After we have finish our t-shirt, the day has come when the t-shirt were to be presented and be given. And I was shocked when I was the one chosen by them to give the t-shirt. “Fix your eyes on Jesus” was the design and it was very relevant to me because lately I am not in touch with him. The main point is I have enjoyed every time when making this shirt which is to be worn by me.

Within the chapter, Ellens adamantly presents a recurring theme involving the importance of recognizing and understanding the functionality of psychology and spirituality as they pertain to the operation of the human spirit (Ellens , "The Unfolding Christian Self", 1992). It is his belief that one’s psychological development and spiritual growth are intrinsically connected, consequently presenting us with the dyad of the unfolding Christian, the duality being the unpredictable growth of the spirit and the predictable patterns of psychological development (Ellens , "The Unfolding Christian Self", 1992). In the interest of further delving deeper into this matters, Ellens briefly analyzed the works of Jean Piaget, via Margaret Krych, Erik Erikson, Lawrence Kohlberg, James W. Fowler, and Robert C. Fuller. Upon the conclusion of his transitory assessment of the Fowler’s work, Ellens transitioned an in-depth…

In the short story “Dance for the Devil” by Edward McCourt the preacher within the course of the story is the protagonist and a dynamic character. He comes across as a confident man unsure of his surroundings but true to his words. Coming into a lawless town as a man of religion on a mission to clean up coyote gully could be a daunting task. A very spiritual man when it comes to tasks because of his religious background. As a preacher he is quite distinctive because of his eagerness to what has to be done.…

Throughout my life I have always been committed and passionate in what I do. My faith fell first on this list. From a very young age I knew the importance and growth that came from knowing God and being an active member of a church family. The growth I experienced in church manifested and trickled out into my everyday life including academics. Central Advent Christian Church set this foundation of growth as a young man which has allowed me to build upon this foundation.…

I completed my community service for the Autism Speaks U 5K run/3K walk, which was located at Kendrick Park in downtown Amherst. The mission of this organization is to spread awareness and fund research for autism, and there are 4 pillars which are research, awareness, advocate, and family services. This organization serves children with autism who live anywhere in the nation and are the younger demographic, but can be any race/ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, and group identity. I am different from the people served because I do not have autism, but I understand that it is a disorder that is not very well understood, so it is monumental to try to change that by finding causes and treatments for autism to help families of children suffering…

One day in the South Pacific, a navy ship captain saw smoke coming from the hut on an uncharted island. Upon arriving at the shore, they were met by a shipwreck survivor. He said, “I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been alone on this island for more than five years!” The captain replied, “If you’re all alone on the island why do I see three huts?” The survivor said, “Oh, well I live in one and go to church in another.” “What about the third hut?” asked the captain. “That’s where I used to go to church,” replied the survivor.…

My Biblical Worldview has changed, and matured, due to the reading assignments, discussions, and what I have learned in Biblical Worldview class. I thought that if what people around you were saying about a certain issue did not seem right. And if you if the Government agreed on a certain issue, that you felt was wrong, then you needed to turn to the Bible. And know what the Bible says on that issue. But I was wrong the Bible is the first thing that you turn to for Guidelines, on certain situations. I realized that your Biblical Worldview did not need to be put to the side till something that you do not agree with, or something you thought was not…

Relatively, the earth’s age is a good argument many will face. when theorizing how old earth is, and how it was created. I can only validate my beliefs along with other Christians from source gathering found in the scriptures. Furthermore, from a biblical point of view from the scripture supported with factual evidence from the Biblical point of view. The Lord created in the beginning the Heavens and Earth. Our Earth was in complete darkness and without shape. The spirit of God was above the darkness as he looked down at the waters. When the Lord created light, and darkness he spoke light and it became bright and therefore he named what he spoke, “light”, and he could see that light was good and he separated the light from darkness defining…

If one is truly serious about achieving the ultimate goal of human life by perfecting his spiritual inquiry, he must adopt a life style that is conducive to the cultivation of self-realizing knowledge. This life style can be beautifully summarized in the phrase 'simple living and high thinking'. Here simple living is in relation to maintenance of the body, and high thinking is in relation to the aim of one's intellectual pursuits.…

One of the major social problems that the Philippines still encounters and could not eliminate is the problem of poverty. It is pretty obvious since there is a display of substandard houses for rural areas in most of the places here, a presence of improper drainage systems in our canals and also of bad road systems. There are no adequate social facilities in each barangay for people’s safety, health, growth and education. Also the transportation could be very tough and difficult because of the traffic. One transportation problem that is particularly in Mandug is the turn and schedule of trips of the PUJs in Mandug, because of that many residents there have inconvenient time in travelling. Jeepneys standby on terminals and only depart when passenger seats are full so when you work or study for example in Buhangin and you live in Mandug and the terminal is located in Acacia, by the time the jeep passes by the your working place or school, there would no longer be room for you to ride on. Now, you must take a double ride in order for you to get home which is pretty inconvenient and costly especially when you belong in the low working class.…
