She is the first blind contestant in the history of Master Chef US. Moreover, she has won the title Master Chef. Christine Ha has touched many hearts all over the world with her talent, passion and perseverance.
Christine Ha was born in 1980 in Houston, Texas. She was diagnosed as neuromyelitis optica, which made her completely blind by 2007. She is not only an excellent home cook, but also a Master of Fine Arts student for fiction at University of Houston's Creative Writing Program. In spite of her blindness, Christine still wishes to pursue her cooking dream. When not at her desk writing or on the couch reading, she can be found in the kitchen cooking food.

The first time when judges saw Christine cooking, they were amazed by her ability of tasting and cooking food. During the competition, Christine had to face many difficulties. For instance, she had to cook with a living crab, which was a tough challenge for a blind woman. Ultimately, her crab dish was assessed as the best dish. Moreover, she had to overcome many team challenges, which were not the easy ones. Nevertheless, Christine surmounted all the problems to be the first blind Master Chef.
