In his essay, he wrote about how slavery is wrong. Rosa Parks and MLK would eventually act on these topics and join the fight. On Monday, March 3, 1913, "...in a white cape astride a white horse, lawyer Inez Mulholland led the great women suffrage parade down Pennsylvania Avenue in the nation's capital. Behind her stretched a long line ..... ,with about 24 floats, and more than 5,000 marchers." The parade was created to gain more women's rights. The act was later called "The Woman in White." All of these activists put their hands into the proverbial fire, knowing full well what to expect. Some went to jail and some we're treated poorly. Most importantly of all, they made a change.
