When you stroll further back through our history you find that in times of need, our country does not resort to divisiveness amongst the people, instead, we are renowned for rallying together in order to overcome. At its birth, our nation revealed to the rest of the world the persevering nature of a people who proudly bolstered the identity, “Americans,” with a smile on their face. Our founding fathers showed us the proven spoils of bravery. Men of the likes of Jefferson, Adams, Madison, and Washington brought together the hearts of the shaken and oppressed, in the face of a seemingly insurmountable enemy, and overcame by answering their call to move. He and his bold men embarked on a daring mission that was regarded by many high-ranking military analysists as being a one-way trip. Mr. O’Neill, in preparation for the mission, had written several letters to his children, and arranged that they be delivered if the mission ran its expected course, and he did not make it back home.
