Civil Service Should Be Allowed In The Military
Having students just graduate from high school and then directly go and do mandatory service shouldn't be allowed in the U.S. I believe. It isn't fair to the people, it takes away their freedom and free will. It's also putting people in danger, the military is a very dangerous place and it would be putting people at risk, and possibly even death which is why mandatory civil service should not be allowed. Did you know that more than 40,000 people were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan according to the Pentagon, the military is a very dangerous place and the civil service would be putting people at risk for injury or even death. And, those people who were injured were prepared and trained for the military, imagine how many people would be wounded

Such as being emotionally and physically ready for the military, a lot of people aren't at that stage yet to be in the military, which is why teens should be able to choose whether or not they want to be in the military; instead of having the government choose for them. Furthermore, we would need to consider the people with medical conditions, such as depression or anxiety which affect them a lot. There is a lot to consider when selecting people to be in the military, and the process takes a long time. Therefore we should select specific people because not everybody that's coming out of high school is ready for the military. People need to be physically prepared and have some experience, and not a lot of people coming out of high school have that experience.
Another factor we would need to consider, is the kids' education. Did you know that students highest learning ability is at age 18 ?That is to say, if the service would have to be mandatory students wouldn't be able to put that knowledge to use at college, hence instead have to do military training. This isn't fair to students who have planned out their future, civil service would interfere with their education.
