Civilization Vs. Savagery

Civilization vs. savagery essay Savagery has a great effect on the characters because Jack wants to show that he can lead and be chief and do whatever he wants well that puts them in danger of a food source therefore they would just die off without any food or civilization. Ralph wants civilization to be able to maintain the sources but they don't understand that stuff eventually runs out they need to be conservative on their resources. CIvilization is great to set up and accomplish but it makes it so hard for Ralph to do when everyone betrays him then Jack lashes out and kills the adult sow because he's not chief.

Civilization i think the author of this story is trying to communicate that survival is impossible without civilization or rules you can't survive if you're a bunch of kids on an island with no rules and no consequences. Civilization includes a fire to keep warm, & huts to stay dry and food sources protected and used wisely it also includes cleanliness and designated areas for the restroom. Civilization still allows freedom but the only one who realizes that is Ralph but no one listens to Ralph therefore civilization will never be conquered
Civilization creates a more modern style of living it also takes up some space destroys/takes up wilderness on this island civilization helps preserve items and much needed resources if everyone would agree to be civilized. Civilization means survival until you're rescued if these characters get rescued off this limited resource island so its important to be civilized because nobody knows or can predict how long they're going to be there or if they will survive on this island for quite some
