Communication and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia can be known as CMCF. CMCF is a self-regulatory body, formed under the auspices of the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), regulating content that is disseminated via the electronic networked medium. Encik Mohd Mustaffa Fazil Mohd Abdan is the first Executive Director at CMCF. He is also a Legal Advisor for the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC). He has given many talks included MCMC.
History
Communication and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia aimed at facilitating self-regulation, CMA 98 empowers the MCMC to designate an industry body to be responsible for the preparation of a Content Code, or codes as the need may arise.
CMCF was established in February 2001. To govern content and address content related issues disseminated by way of electronic networked medium.
CMCF was designated on 29 March 2001 by the MCMC. The CMCF operates a Complaints Bureau that addresses grievances from consumers and industry members on matters relating to content over the electronic networked medium.
Overview
CMCF management rests with a Chairman and 18 Council members, elected from the 6 ‘Ordinary’ member categories for a term of two years. The 6 Ordinary member categories are:

Key Objectives of the Content Forum
1. Establish Malaysia as a major global center and hub for communications and multimedia information and content services.
2. Promote the national policy objectives.
3. Enable a representation of the relevant sectors of the industry and society to ensure that the Content Code developed reflects the views of the community at large.
4. Develop, prepare and adopt a Content Code to set out guidelines.
5. Provide an avenue and channel for complaints in relation to content.
